The boys got their hair cut today... and it was the absolute worst {hair cutting} experience ever. Thankfully they got Zac's hair right, though it was so loaded down with this gross product his curls were weighted down... but Deacon's hair? Horrible. And Zac? Poor thing was terrified and had tears in his eyes nearly the entire time :(

Resting peacefully for the first time since the boys got home (they were in rare form tonight).

I had my lithotripsy procedure and placement of a ureteral stent (google it... be prepared to squirm) today... While I am, of course, ok, things didn't go as great as I was hoping they would- but the prognosis is good so far.

Day 221: August 9, 2011
After bath time we will occasionally all lay in bed watching a movie... Zac is put to bed first while Deacon lays in bed with Damien for a few more minutes, sometimes watching a bit more of the movie. I had no reason to believe tonight would be any different... until I came back to get into bed with my boys for some last minute snuggle time- and the bed was empty.
I snuck downstairs and this is what I found.

Daddy & Zac went to the open house at the fire station down the street... Zac was beyond excited about his helmet- seriously I have not seen this kid so excited about something in a long time... though it did help when he saw how jealous Deacon was that he didn't have a fire helmet to wear.

Deacon got this book from Grammy & Grumpy when he was 3... and it has gotten so much use. I swear he's memorized where "Gold Bug" is, but he still pretends that he doesn't know- so he and Damien can have a race and he can win.
