Day 119: April 29, 2011

I needed to capture this moment on film.
The morning Deacon came into our room at 6:30am,
snuggled up next to me, stole my pillow-
... and fell asleep until 7:30am.
This baby boy NEVER sleeps like this.  He slept through our alarms... our conversations... us getting ready... and finally- me taking his picture.
Sweet boy is exhausted from his Grandma's visit.

Day 117: April 27, 2011

It took me until tonight to realize we have a beautiful rose bush in our backyard...
Yellow roses are my favorite.

Day 115: April 25, 2011

Happy Easter from Grammy & Grumpy...
Deacon got an indoor/outdoor horseshoe set and Zachary got a bubble blower lawn mower.
The boys were pretty excited for these after-Easter gifts!

Day 114: April 24, 2011

Out of all the Easter toys they got today... the bubbles were most definitely the group favorite.

Day 107: April 17, 2011

Have you ever seen a black squirrel?
I have.
And he was terrifying.
He also ate my bagel and scared me half to death... it's a long story.
Suffice to say, I am thinking I may need therapy.

Day 106: April 16, 2011

Poor poor {very} sick baby boy
Double ear infection and a fever of 104.5- add to it a pretty nasty cold that has focused itself on his poor little eyes... every time he sleeps, all the drainage dries and won't let him open his eyes when he wakes up.

Day 105: April 15, 2011

Crossing the bay bridge into San Francisco... on our way to see the Scissor Sisters.
My camera died immediately after taking this picture :(

Day 104: April 14, 2011

French Culture Day @ Carden
They put on a production of Alice in Wonderland- almost entirely in French
... have I mentioned how much I *love* this school???

Day 102: April 12, 2011

Happiness is...
Doing the "Dancey Dance" in your undies.
But if you ask, he'll deny it... he's too big to like Yo Gabba Gabba

Day 99: April 9, 2011

Spent all day away at BRU!N DAY 2011
This is me doing what no UCLA student ever gets used to, but puts up with all the time... sitting in traffic on the 405.

Day 97: April 7, 2011

Open House tonight @ Carden... Zachary was NOT interested in anything but playing basketball, and Deacon was mad that he had to show me his classroom while Zac got to have all the fun playing.  Yes, it was just one of those nights... and the only picture I took at Deacon's open house was a picture of Zac.

Day 96: April 6, 2011

A recliner for my dad when he visits... purchased from the furniture auction!!!  The kids are keeping it warm until the next time Grandpa comes :)

Day 95: April 5, 2011

Each boy has beautiful eyes... but what makes Deacon's eyes so special is that they're deep brown- and no one else in the family has these eyes... except his Grandma Gerold.

Day 94: April 4, 2011

Thanks to our amazing friend and realtor, Dawn, this house will be on the market VERY soon.
It's bittersweet.

Day 93: April 3, 2011

He's finally got the hang of it... well, kind of.
At least he knows how to push the pedals.

Day 91: April 1, 2011

Carden's Spring Program...
Deacon alternated between a look of complete annoyance and an occasional smile (after, of course, being prompted by me, in the audience, pointing at my stupid huge smile).
