Day 272: September 29, 2011

Mom's first day in Texas... Daddy, Nana and the kids plant a pineapple.

Day 271: September 28, 2011

Both boys are working on homework... guess which brother likes to imitate the other?
Also note that Zac is only wearing one shoe.  He had been like this for hours... we even went to Panera with him like this.  I asked if he wanted me to take off his lone shoe and he flung himself on the ground in a panic.  I took that as a "no"- he did not want his other shoe off.

Day 270: September 27, 2011

I have never been so happy to see 75 on my thermostat as I was today when I got home... after spending 5 days with a broken air conditioner, it was a beautiful welcome to walk into my house this afternoon and hear {and feel} the cool rumblings coming from the upstairs vent.
{I am quite aware of the poor quality... picture taken in very low light}

Day 268: September 25, 2011

The kids made homemade bread today with Aiden & Allison... I'll give you one guess as to which one Zac was responsible for.

Day 266: September 23, 2011

Lots of "firsts" this week for Deacon!  He got to bring home Flat Stanley and he got to have his first sleepver with Skyla.  Good times.
Flat Stanley enjoyed his taco.

Day 260: September 17, 2011

Cub Scouts got to help out with the flag raising ceremony at the grand opening of the new Natomas fire station!  This was Deacon's first time doing a flag raising- and after the flag raising we got our own "private" boy scout tour before the public descended on the place (which was a very good thing since the place was a zoo!).

Day 258: September 15, 2011

This was on the wall in Deacon's classroom.
{photo taken with my iPhone}

I'm sure you've all figured it out and all... but in case any of you were stupid me like me and Damien- this is a picture of Deacon and his friend, Skyla... this is a picture showing that when each of the them goes home they both sit there and dream of their time together with cupcakes.  Of course.

Day 257: September 14, 2011

First Tiger's Cub Scout meeting of the year... after the official business the boys went outside to play horseshoe and throw their homemade paper airplanes.  This is so up Deacon's alley...

Day 255: September 12, 2011

Zachary decided that it was a necessity to wear his hat this evening... which made going potty even more fun than normal.  Of course.

Day 253: September 10, 2011

The picture is insanely blurry (Damien took it) but I needed to post it... this Lego Monster creation might not seem that amazing- but look closely.  Deacon did this all by himself- check out the "eyes" he created.  This boy put a lot of creative thought into this monster!  At first glance neither Damien nor I thought it was all that amazing compared to some other stuff Deacon has done without directions... but looking closer, we're pretty impressed... too bad the picture quality wasn't a bit better, because I'm not sure you can really tell by the picture how neat it is.

Day 245: September 2, 2011

Never thought I'd see the day that my child was dressed in a Cub Scout uniform... but here he is- looking so handsome- just home from selling popcorn.
{thanks to Nana for taking our boy on his first Boy Scout adventure while I stayed home and got ready for our Date Night}

Day 244: September 1, 2011

We have a bit of a mouse problem... so we told them that they would get $5 each if they caught a mouse.
